What is Brick Barossa?
Brick Barossa is back again in 2018, after a very successful inaugural event in 2016. This exciting event showcases models built from LEGO® by fans of the brick, as well as interactive, hands-on play areas for fans of all ages.
Brick Barossa is run by St Jakobi Lutheran School in Lyndoch, so is a family friendly event that helps to raise funds for school. The aim is for this to be a very fun event that fans of all ages can look forward to during the wintery July School holidays.
A group of parents from St Jakobi as well as LEGO enthusiasts from Southern Bricks LEGO User Group have teamed up to make this event possible.
Key Organisers Include:
Grant Herrmann, Brad and Kerry Mundt, Susan Laycock, Rick Lane, Sam Cowley, Jason Thiele, Rohan & Sue Jericho, St Jakobi Parents & Friends team, and Leellen Christ from Southern Bricks LEGO User Group.
St Jakobi School – Beneficiary
All funds raised will help to further improve the facilities at St Jakobi and to provide new learning materials for the students of the school. St Jakobi has run an after school LEGO Mindstorms robotics program in the past which has been very popular with the students. LEGO can also be used in many other ways to help with education and can really make learning fun.
